Authorized independent Puronics dealer. Residential systems engineered and manufactured in Livermore, California, with performance claims tested and certified by the Water Quality Association to NSF/ANSI standards. Why we chose Puronics

Why we started

A family that went looking for better water

Springhouse Water Club began with a simple goal: a more complete water-treatment solution for our own family. After meeting with several local companies, we found offers built around softening or taste alone. We wanted a comprehensive approach that would give us real confidence in the water our family uses every day. That search led us to Puronics, and to starting a business so other families in our community could consider the same solutions.

The name comes from the old springhouses that once kept water cold and clean on farms across this region. It is a reminder of what we are here to do: keep the water in your home as good as it can be, with no shortcuts.

Two kinds of treatment

Whole house, or the water you drink?

Most homes benefit from thinking about water in two places. Point-of-entry systems treat every tap, shower, and appliance. Point-of-use systems treat the water you drink and cook with at one faucet. Many households end up with both; some need only one.

Point of entry

Whole-house softening and filtration

Reduces hardness minerals that cause scale and soap trouble, and reduces chlorine and chloramine taste and odor from municipal water, before it reaches any fixture. Protects water heaters, dishwashers, and plumbing.

Whole-house filtration Water softeners

Point of use

Reverse-osmosis drinking water

An under-sink system with its own faucet, certified to reduce specific dissolved contaminants such as lead, arsenic, fluoride, and PFOA/PFOS in the water you drink and cook with.

How it works

Test. Recommend. Install.

No online checkout and no equipment chosen from a symptom quiz. Every recommendation starts with your water and how your household uses it.

  1. In-home water test

We visit, test your water for treatment-relevant conditions, ask about your plumbing, fixtures, and how many people use water, and explain what we find in plain language.

  2. A recommendation that fits

We match a system, or a combination, to your results and your home. You get a written quote with the equipment, the work, and the manufacturer warranty terms spelled out.

  3. Professional installation

Experienced local plumbers install the system, commission it, and walk you through how it works and what it needs from you going forward.

Questions homeowners ask first

Does the in-home water test tell me whether my water is safe to drink?

No. Our in-home assessment is a treatment-oriented screening: it looks at conditions that treatment equipment addresses, such as hardness and chlorine, and helps us size and select a system. It does not certify that water is safe, and it does not detect every possible contaminant. If you have a health concern, especially on a private well, we will point you to a New York State ELAP-certified laboratory and your county health department, and we can help you read those results. See in-home water testing.

Do I need a softener, a filter, or reverse osmosis?

They do different jobs. A softener reduces hardness minerals; a whole-house filter reduces chlorine and chloramine taste and odor (and, in the systems we install, is combined with softening in one tank); reverse osmosis treats the drinking water at one faucet and is certified to reduce specific dissolved contaminants. Many homes use a whole-house combination system plus an RO at the kitchen sink. Our guide on softener vs filter vs reverse osmosis explains the differences.

Who installs the equipment?

Experienced local plumbers install every system we sell. We plan the installation around your mechanical room, drain, and electrical access, and we walk you through the system when it is commissioned. Details are on our installation page.

What does a system cost?

We do not publish prices because the right answer depends on your water, your home, and the equipment that fits. After the in-home assessment you receive a written quote that itemizes the equipment, installation, and warranty terms. Our guide to cost and ownership explains what drives the number and how to compare proposals.

Do you work on private wells?

Yes. Well water needs a different starting point: we recommend certified laboratory testing for bacteria and other health-related parameters (New York State recommends annual bacteria testing), and we use those results together with our in-home screening to recommend treatment. The featured C-series systems are designed for chlorinated or chloraminated supplies, so a private well without disinfection usually calls for a different Puronics configuration. Start with your water, not a catalog

Every recommendation begins with an in-home water test and a conversation about how your household uses water. Tell us about your home and we will be in touch to arrange a visit.
